Individual Stakeholder Responsibilities
Maria- self monitor her homework and papers sent home to make sure they are being returned completed and signed if necessary. Meet with her teacher weekly to go over her monitoring chart. She will also help choose her reward and how to qualify for the reward. She is also responsible for brainstorming ideas for Buddy journal with her buddy. She also needs to use a graphic organizer to cluster her ideas before writing.
Language Arts Teacher- Writing a letter home to Maria’s parents to set up conference. Have that letter translated by the translator. She will also set up a self-monitoring chart and meet with Maria weekly. They will also decide upon the reward for the self-monitoring and the qualifications for earning that reward.
She will also assign a buddy, in a higher writing level, for Maria to discuss writing ideas with. She will supply graphic organizers to be filled out as part of the writing process. She will also teach and assign show and not tell as well as sentence combining activities.
Parents- They will need to schedule a teacher conference. They will then need to sign papers coming home and make sure Maria is doing her homework. They also need to make time to read with Maria or have her read to someone in the household.
Principal- She will arrange for the teacher to have access to a translator.
